Stuff

I was packing last night and this morning and thought of how much time I spend making sure I’ve got all my “stuff.” I don’t know what’s worse, owning things I don’t really need and becoming attached to them or the time and space I use by owning them. Neither can be good I suspect if I don’t take care of the situation carefully. For one, I mustn’t get very attached to lifeless objects but know that everything I have can be in itself a blessing to me and those around me. I pray that I don’t get sucked into the materialism and selfishness that’s easy to fall into when surrounded by so much stuff in the average American home and city.
